Dave Krieger is a film producer, photographer, writer, and artist, working in the visual arts for over thirty years in Detroit, Los Angeles, Paris and New York City. A native Detroiter, and graduate of Cass Tech, Krieger has experimented in multiple artistic mediums throughout his career.

His photography work is in the collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Portraits include Andy Warhol, Jim Carrol and Ozzy Osborne among others. He was nominated for a World Press Review award for a Thai Kickboxing story in the New York Times Magazine. His photos were included in Detour magazine’s “Best of 25 Years, Anniversary Exhibition, at Bulgari in NYC”.

He co-founded, art directed, and photographed two online magazines about Detroit and its environs, Model D and Metromode, establishing their identity and look for others to continue.

He has directed and produced music videos, including videos for Dark Red, Thee Kaprianas, Thief, Thornetta Davis and the Blackman, and Amy Gore and her Valentines.

Krieger has produced films such as Cash Only, Don’t Breath, Fractured, and Orion, and location managed dozens of films including, Ides of March, Superman vs Batman, and This Must Be The Place, among many others.

He wrote and photographed the books, “Things I do in Detroit, A Guidebook to the Coolest Places, by the Nain Rouge”, a book about Detroit and its wealth of activities, and “Things People Say About Detroit, A Collection of Quotes, as Told to the Nain Rouge.”
